While paper napkins are a popular and convenient option in more ways than one, they are not the most elegant, sustainable or cost effective choice out there. Cloth napkins, on the other hand, look better, do better for the environment and cost less in the long run.
Looking good is important
Cloth napkins add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any table setting. They are available in a wide variety of colours and fabrics, so you can easily choose a style that complements your decor. When properly folded, cloth napkins can serve as a decorative element, elevating the overall dining experience.
It’s even better when it’s green friendly.
One of the main advantages of using cloth napkins is their sustainability. Disposable paper napkins contribute to waste and pollution, as they are often used just once before disposal. This creates a burden on landfills and contributes to deforestation, as more and more trees are being cut down to produce enough paper products. In contrast, cloth napkins are reusable and can be washed and used repeatedly, reducing waste and saving resources. By using cloth napkins, you can help reduce your environmental footprint and make a positive impact on the planet.
Cost
While cloth napkins may seem like a more expensive option, they are actually a cost- effective choice in the long run, because paper napkins may be less expensive up front but they must be continually repurchased, as they are disposable. In contrast, cloth napkins can be used over and over again, making them a more sustainable and economical choice over time. Additionally, cloth napkins can be purchased in bulk, which can further reduce cost per napkin.
Everyone loves it easy
Another advantage of using cloth napkins is that they are relatively easy to care for. They can be washed with other linens and towels, and there are many stain removal products available to keep them looking their best. While paper napkins are often seen as a more convenient option, the cost of continually purchasing new napkins can add up over time. With proper care and maintenance, cloth napkins can be used for years, making them a more sustainable and cost-effective choice.

We've all been through it: You put a load of laundry into your washer only to forget about it until the next morning. When this happens, it's common for your clothes to develop a mildewy odor due to the growth of bacteria overnight. But if you left wet clothes in the washer and find they still smell fresh and clean, do you really need to run it through a second cycle?
While it's best practice to place your garments in the dryer or on the clothesline right after the cycle finishes, it's perfectly okay to leave your wet clothes in the washer overnight. Don't leave it for a week, but if you get up in the morning and throw it in the dryer, it should probably be okay.
Signs Your Clothes Were Left in the Washer for Too Long
If you're unsure if your wet laundry has been sitting too long, try smelling it. That mold and that bacteria that starts to grow on damp clothes and environments, that's very pungent.
Even if one item of the bunch smells, it's a good indicator that the entire load needs to be re-washed. For this reason, it's important to use a non-scented laundry detergent that's also free of harsh chemicals. Doing so will allow you to smell if your clothes haven't been properly washed and need further attention.

Even though, you are eating a healthy, have balanced diet, visit dermatologist frequently, and avoid overly greasy skin care products, sometimes those measures are insufficient to keep your skin clear and healthy.
You are doing everything mentioned in prevous paragraph, but you are still facing acne problem. Did you ever asked yourself could the cause be your bed sheets? And the answers is yes. It can be because of the type of bed sheets you use. Yes, you read it well, your bed sheets could be causing breakouts, especially if you have acne-prone skin. Your pores may become clogged by the germs, dead skin, and imbedded dirt.
Read more on why dermatologists choose cotton: https://www.wellandgood.com/cotton-sheets/
Choosing the right bedding is important for your skin health. As your body expels heat when you are sleeping, the fibers catch the heat, which promotes your sweat glands’ activities and often produce more sebum. This is the reason why it is important to find the best sheet material for skin. You should look for sheets that are breathable and allows heat to pass through as you are sleeping. The best sheets for acne-prone skin are made from antimicrobial natural fibers. These include silk, organic cotton and bamboo.
Most bed sheets are washable at 30º-60ºC which is not enough to remove all bacteria and dead skin. Regarding that dermatologists agree that the ideal sheets for those with sensitive skin are those made from lightweight, breathable materials like cotton, silk, or sateen (100 percent cotton sheets with a high thread count).
You should find sheets that are ultra-breathable and hypoallergenic, which can mitigate acne outbreak by prevent bacterial growth on the fabric. For example, Moel's bed sheets are made from organic cotton and they are washable at 95 ºC which means that you can get rid of all dead skin and bacteria by washing your bed sheets at that temperature.
So, what are you waiting for? Take precautions to minimize the chances of acne outbreaks through a combination of great skincare, regular cleaning, and comfortable sheets! Visit our webshop and check new Moel's bed sheets that will provide you a better sleep and life without acne. Beauty sleep gets its real meaning with Moel's bed sheets.

With the Christmas holidays behind us and the end of 2020, we have all been waiting impatiently for the New Year. This is the time of the year when we make grand New Year resolutions, start new habits and focus on ‘big life changes’. But research has proven that within 3 weeks, many of us will most probably fall back into old routines.
]]>This is the time of the year when we make grand New Year resolutions, start new habits and focus on ‘big life changes’. But research has proven that within 3 weeks, many of us will most probably fall back into old routines.
This is why this year, with the extension of working from home and limited social interactions due to further pandemic restrictions, I have focused on creating a calming and clear environment around myself. I have guided myself with the motto ‘Less is more’ and worked on decluttering my living space, but also my mental space.

After returning back from a work assignment to my old home town just before Christmas, I wondered how to avoid the feeling of coming back to something old and familiar, especially during the period of new lockdowns, but instead feel like you are starting afresh?
My partner and I decided to do a huge end-of-year declutter, clearing our house and wardrobes and using this opportunity to donate lots of our things to local charities. I have not only felt 100kg lighter, but also quite fulfilled knowing that the things I haven’t used for a long time and was always storing away with the thought “Maybe I’ll need it one day” will actually bring some good to someone else.

While decluttering and reorganising our home, we focused on keeping the surfaces clear of too many objects, keeping them more minimal and not overwhelming. Also, we tried to bring more natural tones and soft materials to deliver a feeling of warmth and calmness. In our home, I like to focus on inspiring the senses and the mind, so my favourite items to keep around me are usually books and candles, like the ones from Moel, which represent real luxury moments, but are also good for the environment, being made from natural soy wax.

To keep my mental health in check with all the digital working from home, I have decided to turn off all my devices for 1 hour after the end of each working day, focusing on preparing a nice, freshly-cooked meal or read a good book whilst my partner does so 😊 On top of that, I am pushing myself to stop reading and discussing daily updates around the pandemic, as this is taking quite some energy to process and often puts us in a negative mood. Rather, we focus on discussing something new and inspirational, or enjoy good music and a nice cup of freshly prepared tea. Going out into nature and breathing in the fresh winter air is another magical moment which completely clears my mind and enables me to start afresh.
And you, what small changes have you made to start afresh in 2021?
With love,
Ivana #moelgirl

We women often feel that way due to so many tasks we put upon ourselves, and here are some great tips from our #moelgirl Ivana on how to actually create „me time” and get your positivity and spirit back on track!
]]>Finding a time in the day just for yourself, in the peace and quietness of your home, before the whole world wakes up... I have never been a morning person, but I have decided to focus more on myself and create small rituals which will help me start my days with positive feelings.
As easy as it may sound, creating new habits and sticking to them might require a lot of dedication and persistency, but you could start from taking small steps, small changes and decisions in your life.
Number one point for me is to take my time and start the day slowly creating luxurious moments at the beginning of each day.
With colder autumn days and misty mornings, I love snuggling on my sofa with a cup of hot coffee and lighting my autumn-scented soy candle at the break of dawn, allowing the smells of freshly-brewed coffee and a Warm Vanilla Moel soy candle to fill my home, make it feel calm and luxurious. I put on nice instrumental music like Autumn Jazz at this period of the year, which takes me back to the crispy, foggy streets of Paris with smells of freshly-baked baguettes or Pumpkin Spiced Muffins coming from small bakeries. Then I do my 10-minute guided meditation, setting my intention for the day.
The most important part of my morning routine is my morning pages. Buy a notebook with blank sheets of paper, and every morning write 3 pages of your thoughts. Whatever comes to mind in that specific moment when the pen touches that piece of paper. Do not think and force yourself about making sense, about reading your pages later. Just pour out on that paper whatever comes into your head. With time, you will actually see that these morning pages are clearing your mind of either unimportant things or helping you generate new ideas. By adding this to my morning routine, I can say with confidence that I feel much more clear-headed, energetic and focused on the things which are important.
And most importantly, every morning, I write down 3 things I am grateful for as I continue into my day.
Going through this routine every morning and taking time for myself makes me ready to tackle all the challenges the day throws at me. This is the smart luxury we can afford ourselves in life.
Remember, the best time for new beginnings is now.
To all the strong and courageous women out there,
XOXO,
#moelgirl Ivana
